LACROSSE OFFICIALS TRAINING - DEC. 9TH AND JAN. 13TH

US-LACROSSE COACHES CLINIC COMING TO SARASOTA NOV.5th
Oct. 2nd, 2006 - A coaches clinic is scheduled for Sunday November 5th in Sarasota.  Featured speakers will be Duke University coach John Danowski, NYIT coach  Jack Kaley, and FSU coach Bill Harkins.  Clinic Flier

TAMPA BAY FIRE U-17 AND U-15 TEAM FORMATIONS ANNOUNCED
Sept. 4th, 2006 - Team officials have announced the completion of preparations to field U-17 and U-15 teams for the 2007 season.  According to Tom Losier, team President, the overwhelming success and growing interest in the Tampa Bay Fire’s U-19 team has accelerated demand among the area’s high school and middle school players and parents.  Losier indicated that the coaching staffs for each team have been appointed, although a few vacancies remain. US LACROSSE CHAPTER MEETING - GULF COAST CHAPTER

CATCH 47 TV INTERVIEW WITH JOE BROWN AND CURTIS DIAZ
June 13th, 2006 - Joe Brown and Curtis Diaz will be guests tomorrow night at 8:00pm on Dick Crippens Bay Sports program on Catch 47 to discuss Tampa Bay area lacrosse.  Joe is the WFLL lead referee and assistant coach for the state champion Plant High School boys team, and Curtis Diaz is the founder and all star attackman for the Jesuit High School boys team. Video clips from Saturday's LaxBlast at Tropicana Field will also be shown.

ST PETE MENS SUMMER PICKUP GAMES
June 1st, 2006 - The St Petersburg Lacrosse Club will be hosting summer pickup games on Friday nights from June 16th to July 28th.  The games are open to all high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate players, and the cost will be $25 per person for the entire summer. The games will be played at Sawgrass Park from 7:30pm to 9:00pm and the teams will be split up each night. If interested, email info@stpetelacrosse.com

TAMPA BAY U-15 TEAM WINS BAGATAWAY TOURNAMENT IN ATLANTA
May. 15th, 2006 - The Tampa Bay Copepods U-15 team (15 years old or younger) traveled to Atlanta, GA this past weekend and won the Bagataway Lacrosse Southeast Championship, and finished the tournament with a 6-0 record. The Copepods are coached by Ralph Kitzmiller.

PLANT HIGH SCHOOL BOYS WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Apr. 29th, 2006 - Plant High School defeated W.T. Dwyer High School of South Florida 5-2  on Sunday April 29th to win the Florida State High School Club Championship.

TAMPA BAY FIRE - UNDER 19 TEAM FORMING

FREEDOM HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS WIN WFLL GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP
Apr. 27th, 2006 - The Freedom High School girls team defeated FishHawk 10-4 to win the WFLL girls division league championship on Sunday April 23rd.  Congratulations to all of the girls teams for making this season a huge success.  Overall league stats link.

PLANT HIGH SCHOOL BOYS WIN WFLL BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP
Apr. 24th, 2006 - The Plant High School boys team defeated Wesley Chapel 12-9 over the weekend to win the 2006 WFLL championship.  Plant will now travel to the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando this Friday for a 2:30pm playoff game against Canterbury High School of Southwest Florida.  The winner of that game will then play at 2:30pm on Saturday against the winner of the Friday night Douglas vs Dwyer game for the state championship.

HIGH SCHOOL PLAYOFFS AT USF 4/22/06 AND 4/23/06

WARRIOR LACROSSE CAMP COMING TO CLEARWATER IN JUNE
Apr. 17th, 2006 - The Warrior Lacrosse Camp will be in Clearwater from June 5th to 8th, and will be run by Brian Silcott.  Brian is the former head coach of the MLL New Jersey Pride and the newly appointed head coach for the San Francisco Dragons expansion team.  Prior to coaching in the MLL Brian coached Division III Trinity College, and he also played in the MLL for the Boston Cannons.  For more information go to http://www.laxcamps.com .

Apr. 12th, 2006 - Local TV station Catch 47 has named Jesuit High School head lacrosse coach Chris Arnold as the Tampa Bay area coach of the week.  Catch 47 taped the Jesuit vs Plant high school game last Friday night and is running a segment on the game throughout the week, along with the announcement of Chris' coach of the week selection. JESUIT TIGERS ADVANCE TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
April 30th, 2005 - The Jesuit Tigers defeated Cypress Lake (Ft Myers) 15 to 8 to advance to the state championship game against Weston (Ft Lauderdale).  Weston handed the Tigers their only loss of the season on April 16th by a score of 12 to 7.  The championship game will be at the 31st St Sports Complex in St Pete on May 1st at noon. 
In the other semifinal game, Wesley Chapel lost to Weston by a score of 14 to 5.

JESUIT TIGERS WIN SECOND CONSECUTIVE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
April 27th, 2005 - The Jesuit Tigers won their second consecutive West Florida Lacrosse League championship by defeating Wesley Chapel 9 to 6. The Tigers go on to play Cypress Lakes (Ft Myers) in the first round of the state championships Saturday at noon in St Pete.  Wesley Chapel will plan Weston (Ft Lauderdale) on Saturday at 2pm. The winners of each game will meet in the state final on Sunday at noon.

HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
April 26th, 2005 - The state championships will be held in St Pete at the 31st St Sports Complex (north field) on April 30th and May 1st.  The two first round games will be played at noon at 2pm on Saturday, while the state championship game will be played at noon on Sunday.  Click here for directions to the 31st St Sports Complex.  Team seedings will be posted on Thursday April 28th.

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS
April 24th, 2005 - The Tigers won the West Conference Championship on Saturday April 23rd by defeating Clearwater 9 to 6.  Wesley Chapel won the East Conference Championship by defeating Citrus Park 10 to 5.
Both teams will play for West Florida Lacrosse League Championship on Wednesday April 27th, and each have received bids to play in the State Club Championships to be held in Clearwater the weekend of April 30th.
